Bongiovi Brand are tomato pasta sauces made to a recipe of the Bongiovi family, the family of singer Jon Bon Jovi. They are made in Italy; we stock Marinara, Original and spicy Arrabbiata.
According to the family, the recipe comes from Sciacca in Sicily in the late 19th century and was passed down through three generations. In 2012 the sauces were launched in the USA by singer Jon Bon Jovi, real name Bongiovi, and his father John. They were brought to Europe under licence by the Swiss company RAYL Group, for which they are made in Italy.
Marinara sauce contains 91% tomatoes, and the producer states that it has no added sugar, no preservatives and no gluten.
What we stock
We offer the classic Marinara, the Original sauce (officially Dad's Original, named after father John) and the spicy Spicy Arrabbiata with chilli, all in 400 g jars. Just warm the sauce and mix it with cooked pasta; it is also good on pizza, in lasagne or with meatballs.
