Encona is a British hot sauce brand that launched its Original West Indian Hot Pepper Sauce in 1975. We stock sauces from the Caribbean classic to Carolina Reaper, mango with chilli and jerk BBQ.
The Encona trademark was registered in 1946 by the British company Enco Products, which originally supplied bakery products. With the post-war arrival of immigrants from the Caribbean, the so-called Windrush generation, it began importing Caribbean food, and in 1975 it launched a West Indian-style hot sauce in the square bottle with embossed glass that it still uses today. The brand belongs to Grace Foods UK, part of the Jamaican GraceKennedy group, and the sauces are bottled in the UK.

The Original Hot Pepper Sauce made from habanero and scotch bonnet peppers, the extra-hot Exxxtra Hot and a Carolina Reaper sauce for heat lovers, fruity versions with mango or papaya, jerk barbecue and Louisiana Cajun sauce for grilled meat, and Thai sweet chilli sauce for spring rolls and fried food. All in 142 ml bottles.
