Exotic Food is a Thai maker of sauces, coconut products and canned goods, founded in 1999. From Exotic Food we stock coconut milk and cream, sweet chilli sauce, sambal oelek, teriyaki, mango sauce and bamboo shoots.
Exotic Food was founded in 1999 by two siblings. It is headquartered in Bangkok, has its factory in Laem Chabang in Chonburi province, and its shares are traded on the Thai stock exchange. It makes more than 200 products – under the Thai Pride and Coco-Loto brands as well as Exotic Food – and exports them to dozens of countries. It has received the Thai Prime Minister's Export Award.
What we stock
Coconut milk and coconut cream (400 ml) are the basis of Thai curries and tom kha soup, and the cream also works well in desserts. Sweet chilli sauce goes with spring rolls and grilled chicken, while sambal oelek – a paste of crushed chilli peppers – adds heat to noodles and marinades.
Use teriyaki sauce to glaze meat and salmon, and mango sauce with fried food or as a dip. Sliced bamboo shoots just need rinsing before you add them to a curry or stir-fried vegetables.
