Greeting Pine (迎客松) is a Chinese green tea brand named after a famous pine tree in the Huangshan mountains. From Greeting Pine we stock jasmine green tea and Gunpowder tea in 500 g packs.
The brand is named after the Ying Ke Song pine – "the pine that welcomes guests" – which grows in the Huangshan mountains in Anhui province and is estimated to be more than 1,500 years old; the mountains have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. Greeting Pine teas were long exported to more than 100 countries by Anhui Tea Import & Export, founded in 1952. They are supplied to Europe by the Dutch importer Heuschen & Schrouff.

Gunpowder is a green tea whose leaves are rolled into small pellets – in Chinese it is called "pearl tea". The pellets unfurl in water; the tea is also the basis of Moroccan mint tea. Jasmine tea is made by layering green tea with opening jasmine blossoms in the evening so that it absorbs their fragrance; for better grades this is repeated several times.
Brew both teas with water at around 80 °C for 2–3 minutes; the leaves can be infused several times. A 500 g pack lasts a long time – keep the tea dry and tightly sealed.
