Jinweimei
Jinweimei (Chinese 金味美) is a brand of Longkou glass noodles from China's Shandong province. From Jinweimei we stock glass vermicelli noodles in 250 g packs.
According to retailers, Jinweimei noodles are made at the plant of Zhaoyuan Sanjia Vermicelli & Protein in Zhaoyuan, in the area where the famous Longkou noodles come from. Sanjia was founded in 1987, employs more than 1,200 people and is one of China's major producers of these noodles.
Longkou noodles are traditionally made from mung bean and pea starch; they are translucent and do not go mushy when cooked. Our pack contains mung beans, peas and corn starch.
What we stock
Drop the glass noodles (250 g) into boiling water for 3–5 minutes, drain and rinse. They are good in soups, salads, spring rolls, fried noodles and filled dumplings; served cold, they make a salad with soy sauce, vinegar and sesame oil.
