Jordans
Jordans is a British family brand of cereals and granolas from Biggleswade, with roots going back to 1855. From Jordans we stock Country Crisp crunchy cereals with nuts and with chocolate.
The Jordan family took up milling in 1855 and in 1893 bought Holme Mills on the River Ivel in Biggleswade. Brothers Bill and David Jordan discovered granola in California and in 1972 launched what the company describes as Britain's first natural granola with crunchy clusters, followed in 1981 by the country's first cereal bar. Country Crisp cereals have been made since 1991.
In 1985 Bill Jordan co-founded the Conservation Grade programme for nature-friendly farming, and today the brand works with British farmers and conservation organisations to keep space for wildlife on farmland. Jordans is part of Associated British Foods; the historic mill serves as a visitor centre with a café.
