Madam Pum is a Thai brand of sauces, curries and desserts from V.Thai Food Product of Samut Prakan. From Madam Pum we stock tamarind concentrate for cooking in 450 ml packs.
V.Thai Food Product has been operating since 1999 and offers more than 185 products under the Madam Pum, Nang Fah, Jin Tai and V Fresh brands – sauces, curry pastes, instant curries, rice porridge and Thai desserts. The plant holds BRC, GMP and HACCP certifications, and its products are exported to many countries.
What we stock
Tamarind concentrate (450 ml) contains 85% tamarind purée and saves you the work of soaking and pressing tamarind pulp. It gives dishes a pleasantly sour, slightly fruity taste.
In Thai cooking, tamarind is the basis of sour flavours – it belongs in pad thai sauce, soups, curries, dips and marinades. Start with a spoonful and adjust gradually; balance the sourness with palm sugar and fish sauce.
