Nokchawon
Nokchawon is a South Korean maker of teas and drinks that started out with green tea. From Nokchawon we stock fruit teas in jars with aloe, jujube, lemon, plum or ginger, yuzu concentrate and tea bags.
The company was founded in 1992 by Kim Jae-sam and has operated as the joint-stock company Nokchawon since 1997. It started with green tea; today it develops, produces and exports teas and drinks. It has its own tea gardens, including an organic garden in Boseong, and several production sites in Korea. According to its own figures, it supplies customers in 42 countries.
What we stock
Most of the range is fruit teas in 480 g jars – a thick mix of fruit in syrup, of which you stir a spoonful or two into hot or cold water. Choose from aloe vera, jujube (Chinese date), candied lemon, plum and ginger. We also sell a yuzu and lemon drink concentrate, pumpkin and bean tea, and Spring of Jeju Jaksul green tea in bags.
The fruit teas also go well in yoghurt, on pancakes or as the base for homemade lemonade with sparkling water. Yuzu concentrate just needs diluting with cold water, or hot water in winter. Brew the green tea with water that has stopped boiling for a moment, so it does not turn bitter.
