Orient Gourmet is an Asian food brand supplied to Europe by the German importer Kreyenhop & Kluge. From Orient Gourmet we stock konjac shirataki noodles, mie and ramen noodles, dried shiitake mushrooms and mung bean sprouts.
Orient Gourmet products come from various Asian countries, such as China and Thailand. The brand's exclusive distributor is Kreyenhop & Kluge of Oyten near Bremen, which has been importing Asian food for three generations. The range covers Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Indian cooking.
What we stock
Most of what we offer is noodles: konjac shirataki noodles in rice, spaghetti and wok shapes (270 g each), egg-free mie noodles and pre-cooked ramen noodles. We also stock dried shiitake mushrooms and mung bean sprouts in a jar.
Rinse shirataki in cold water before use and briefly heat them in a dry pan – they will then absorb the sauce better. Soak shiitake in lukewarm water for 20–30 minutes and use the soaking water for stock. Mie noodles and mung bean sprouts go well in fried noodles and soups.
