P.R.B. – Pearl River Bridge – is a Chinese brand of sauces and food from Guangzhou with a history going back to 1958. From P.R.B. we stock premium oyster sauce, wasabi paste and dried wood ear mushrooms.
According to the producer, Pearl River Bridge (Chinese 珠江橋牌) has been exported since 1958 and was one of the first Chinese food brands on foreign markets. It is named after the Haizhu Bridge over the Pearl River in Guangzhou, near which the original factory stood – the bridge still appears in the logo. The brand is owned by Guangdong PRB Bio-tech, and its products are sold in more than 150 countries and regions. It makes its wasabi paste under the Japanese-style Yummyto range, launched in 2012.
What we stock
Premium oyster sauce (510 g) is a thick, salty-sweet sauce for wok dishes, for vegetables such as pak choi or broccoli, and for marinades. Wasabi paste (43 g) in a tube is ready to serve with sushi and sashimi.
Wood ear mushrooms (50 g) are dried mushrooms that are soaked in lukewarm water for 20–30 minutes before cooking. Once soaked, they swell considerably and are good in soups, spring rolls and fried noodles.
