Panasia is an Austrian importer and wholesaler of Asian food that also sells rice, pickles and kitchenware under its own brand. From Panasia we stock jasmine rice, pickled yellow radish and a bamboo steamer.
PANASIA Handels was founded in Vienna in 2002 by Jong Min Kim and Jong Wan Chung. It imports Asian food, fish and seafood directly from Japan and other Far Eastern countries and supplies shops and restaurants in around 30 countries. It is based in Göttlesbrunn in Lower Austria and has branches in Germany, the UK, Poland, Romania and, since 2017, in Prague, among other places.
What we stock
Under the Panasia brand we sell jasmine rice in a 1 kg vacuum pack, pickled yellow radish (350 g) and a three-tier bamboo steamer with a lid, 18 cm in diameter.
Jasmine rice goes well with Thai curries and stir-fries; rinse it before cooking and cook it as directed on the pack. Yellow radish belongs in Korean kimbap and Japanese futomaki rolls. In the steamer you can make dim sum dumplings, baozi, fish or vegetables – place it in a wok or on a pan of boiling water.
