Steeves
Steeves Maples is a family brand of maple syrups from New Brunswick, Canada, tracing its roots to 1869. From Steeves we stock Canadian syrup with maple syrup in a 1-litre bottle.
The Steeves family were among the first settlers in Elgin, New Brunswick, and have made maple syrup for generations – from iron kettles over an open fire to today's evaporators. The family founded Canadian Syrup, the company that makes Steeves Maples syrups, in 1991 and exports to more than 20 countries. Besides pure maple syrup, it also offers organic syrup and flavoured syrups.
What we stock
Canadian syrup with maple syrup (1 l) is not pure maple syrup: it is a cane sugar syrup with added maple syrup and natural maple flavouring. It tastes like maple syrup and is used in the same way.
It is good on pancakes, drop scones, waffles and porridge, in yoghurt, on baked apples or in glazes for meat and vegetables.
