Vertmont is a maple and agave syrup brand from the Danish family company Cofradex. From Vertmont we stock Canadian grade A Amber maple syrup, organic agave syrup and pancake mix.
Cofradex was founded in Denmark in 1972 by Ronald C. Vermont and is now run by his family. It buys maple syrup from farmers all over Canada through a sister company in Quebec; in Denmark, about 20 km north of Copenhagen, it processes and bottles the syrup for the European market. Vertmont was the company's first brand – the name means "green mountain" and refers to the maple forests of north-eastern Canada and to the US state of Vermont.
What we stock
Grade A Amber maple syrup in a 1-litre bottle and in organic quality in a 250 ml glass bottle has a rich taste and is ideal for pancakes, drop scones, porridge, yoghurt and baking. Organic agave syrup (1000 ml) is a mild liquid sweetener for tea, smoothies and desserts. Pancake mix (400 g) just needs mixing as directed on the pack; then pour maple syrup over the pancakes.
