Mornflake
Mornflake is a British family brand of oats and cereals from Crewe; the Lea family has been milling oats since 1675. From Mornflake we stock granolas, crunchy cereals with nuts and fruit, and wholegrain flakes.
The company's history begins in 1675, when William Lea started milling oats at Swettenham watermill in Cheshire. The family has run the business continuously for 15 generations, and according to the BBC it is the fourth-oldest family business in Britain. The Mornflake brand was created in 1941 in Crewe, where the mill still stands; in 2025 the company celebrated 350 years.
In 1943 Mornflake developed steam stabilisation of oats, which extends their shelf life. Today it exports its cereals to more than 80 countries.
