Product description
Mornflake Jumbo are wholegrain oat flakes made from whole pieces of oat groats. They are larger and coarser than regular flakes, so they hold their structure during cooking and the porridge is thicker. They are produced by the British family brand Mornflake, which has been milling oats since 1675.
The flakes are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The 1.5 kg pack provides roughly 37 servings of 40 g each, so it is well suited to households where porridge is cooked regularly.
How to Prepare Them
For one serving, mix 40 g of oat flakes with 200 ml of cold water in a pot. For a creamier porridge, use milk or a combination of milk and water. Cook for 6–7 minutes while stirring constantly, then let it stand for one minute. Serve on its own, or with nuts, chocolate, or fruit.
The flakes can also be used in homemade granola, muesli, or baking.
