Product description
Orange marmalade from the Scottish brand Mrs Bridges is part of the British breakfast tradition. According to the manufacturer, the fruit is slowly cooked in a copper pan without a lid, and whisky is added just before the end of cooking. The result is a marmalade with pieces of orange, a distinct fruity aroma, and a subtly spicy note.
Whisky makes up only 3% of the composition, so the citrus flavour remains in the foreground, and the alcohol acts more as a supporting note. The marmalade is served in a decorative jar, which is typical of the brand.
How to Use It
- on toast, a croissant or fresh bread with butter
- in oatmeal or yoghurt
- as a filling or topping for cakes and cookies
- with roasted meat and cheeses as a sweet-and-sour accompaniment
