Farmer Brand is a Thai brand of rice noodles from Oriental Food of Bangkok. From Farmer we stock rice noodles 1, 3, 5 and 10 mm wide – from thin vermicelli to broad wok noodles.
Oriental Food Co., Ltd. was founded in Bangkok in 1977 by Mr Prajak. Under the Farmer, Golden Chef, Bangkok Elephant and Mae Anong brands it makes mainly rice noodles and exports them to Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania – the Czech Republic is among the countries it lists as customers.
What we stock
We sell rice noodles in 400 g packs in various widths. 1 mm (vermicelli) is good for spring rolls, salads and soups, 3 mm according to the producer for pad thai, 5 mm for pho soup and fried noodles, and 10 mm for pad see ew – broad noodles stir-fried with soy sauce.
Soak the dry noodles in lukewarm water until soft, then finish them briefly in boiling water or stir-fry them with sauce in a wok. Thin vermicelli just need soaking in hot water.
