MAMA is a Thai instant noodle brand from Thai President Foods, made since 1973. From MAMA we stock instant pho soup bowls – beef Pho Bo and chicken Pho Ga.
Thai President Foods was founded in 1972 by Taiwan's President Enterprises and the Thai Saha Pathanapibul group; it began making the first chicken-flavoured MAMA noodles in 1973. MAMA is now the leading instant noodle brand in Thailand, and Thais commonly use the word "mama" for instant noodles in general. Besides its plants in Thailand, the company also produces in Cambodia, Bangladesh and in Esztergom, Hungary, from where it supplies Europe.
What we stock
Instant rice noodles in a 65 g bowl – Pho Bo with beef and Pho Ga with chicken flavour, inspired by Vietnamese pho soup. Add the seasoning to the bowl, pour boiling water up to the line and leave to stand for 4 minutes.
Top the soup with fresh herbs – coriander, Thai basil or spring onion –, mung bean sprouts, a wedge of lime or slices of chilli.
