Paldo
Paldo is a South Korean instant noodle maker, best known at home for its cold Bibim Men noodles. From Paldo we stock spicy and mild ramen soups and soupless noodles with sauce.
Paldo started out as the noodle division of Korea Yakult. The brand has existed since 1983, and since 2012 it has been an independent company, Paldo Co., Ltd., based in Seoul. The name means "eight provinces" and refers to the eight historical provinces of Korea. Today the company exports to more than 80 countries; in Russia it became famous for its Dosirac bowl noodles.
What we stock
Bibim Men has been made since 1984 and is one of the oldest Korean soupless instant noodles: the cooked noodles are rinsed in cold water and mixed with a sweet and spicy sauce. Also without broth are the milder Gompaghetti with beef flavour, the very spicy Volcano Chicken and Jjajangmen with black bean sauce. Among the soups we offer the very spicy Teumsae Ramen, Hwa Ramyun and Rabokki, a combination of ramen and tteokbokki rice cakes.
Bibim Men tastes great with cucumber slices or a hard-boiled egg. A slice of cheese or an egg whisked into the broth will tame the spicy soups.
