Product description
Panko is Japanese breadcrumbs made from wheat bread. Compared to classic European breadcrumbs, it is lighter and coarser. This variety from the Inaka brand has medium coarseness, so after frying it forms a crispy but not overly thick crust.
It is suitable for frying meat, fish, seafood and vegetables. You can use it for Japanese tonkatsu, prawns or classic pork schnitzel. According to the manufacturer, it absorbs less oil during frying than ordinary breadcrumbs. It also works well in combination with flour for tempura.
Breading procedure:
- Season the ingredients and coat them in flour or a breading mix.
- Then dip them in beaten egg, optionally with a little milk.
- Coat them well in breadcrumbs and let them rest for a while so the crust holds better.
- Fry in well-heated oil until golden.
A 1 kg pack is suitable for households that fry more often, as well as for smaller food service establishments.
