Mori-Nu Tofu firm is silken tofu made from soybeans by an American brand belonging to the Japanese Morinaga group. It is produced in the United States and sold in durable aseptic packaging that does not require refrigeration before opening. It is therefore also suitable for storing in the pantry.
The flavor is mild and neutral, and tofu readily absorbs the taste of sauces, spices, and other ingredients. The firm variety has a smooth, silky texture and holds its shape better than soft tofu. It is used in Asian cuisine from Vietnam to Japan.
Use in the kitchen:
- cubed and added to soups, such as miso
- carefully sautéed or grilled as a plant-based alternative to meat
- in sauces, dips and creams
- in smoothies and desserts after blending
After opening, store in the refrigerator and use as soon as possible.
