Nongshim Shin Ramyun large bowl 114g

What is it

Shin Ramyun from the South Korean company Nongshim is one of the best-known Korean instant noodle soups. This variant comes in a large 114 g bowl, so you just open the packaging, add water and eat straight from it. It's suitable for a quick lunch, dinner, snack or at the office.

The product is made in South Korea and carries the halal certification.

Taste and properties

The soup is intensely spicy. The broth is seasoned with a powdered spice blend containing chilli and black pepper, and has a rich, pungent flavour typical of Korean ramyun. It comes with wheat noodles and a sachet of dried vegetable flakes: shiitake, carrot, bok choy, onion and red pepper.

Preparation

• Open the lid halfway.
• Empty the contents of the sachets into a bowl.
• Pour boiling water over them.
• Cover with the lid and let it steep for 4 minutes.
• Stir well and serve.

Usage and Tips

The soup is good on its own. For a Korean style, you can add an egg, spring onion, tofu or kimchi. If you find it too spicy, add more water or mellow it out with a side dish, such as rice.
