Tteokbokki is one of the most popular Korean street foods. Its base is chewy rice cylinders that are cooked in a sauce. This instant version from the brand Chung Jung One is flavoured with barbecue sauce, and the package contains 2 servings.
Preparation is quick: cook the rice cakes with the sauce in a pan for about 2–3 minutes with roughly 70 ml of water. To taste, you can add:
- spring onion
- egg
- bonito flakes
- cheese, if desired
