Samyang Buldak Original is an instant version of tteokbokki, a popular Korean dish made from elongated rice cakes. They are soft, chewy, and come with a sauce in the style of the Buldak brand: strongly spicy, with chicken and chilli flavour.
Tteokbokki is traditionally eaten in Korea as street food. This version is meant for one serving and doesn't require a pot or a stove.
Preparation
- Put the rice cakes and sauce into a bowl.
- Pour over hot water (85 °C).
- Microwave for 2.5 minutes (1000 W).
- Stir well so that the sauce blends evenly with the rice cakes.
