Samyang Tteokbokki Carbonara are instant rice cakes in a cup that combine Korean spiciness with the creamy flavour of carbonara. The cakes are chewy and soft, coated in a rich chilli sauce, which is complemented by a cheese powder with mozzarella and milk.
Tteokbokki is a popular street food in Korea. This version from the Buldak range is intended for a quick snack or light meal without cooking: simply put the cakes and sauce into a bowl, pour over hot water, or heat it in a microwave. Everything needs to be mixed well before eating.
Preparation and Tips
- Place the dumplings and sauce into a bowl and pour over hot water (approx. 85 °C).
- Alternatively, heat in a microwave oven (1000 W) for about 2.5 minutes.
- Stir thoroughly so that the sauce combines with the powder.
- For an even creamier taste, you can add an egg or grated cheese.
The product contains soy, milk and cheese. The flavour is strongly spicy.
