Wormup Worms with Bacon Flavour are dried mealworm larvae (Tenebrio molitor) that are dried and seasoned with a spice blend. They are produced by the Czech family brand Wormup, which specialises in edible insects.
The taste is salty and smoky. It comes from a blend with a bacon flavour, smoke aroma, garlic and onion. The worms are crispy and look like small crisps. The 20 g pack is suitable for a first taste or as a small snack on the go.
How to eat it
- as a salty snack straight from the bag, for example with beer or while watching a film
- sprinkle them over soup, salad or a spread instead of croutons
- serve them at a tasting of edible insects
