Ottogi
Ottogi is a South Korean food manufacturer that became a household name at home with its instant curry and Jin Ramen. From Ottogi we stock ramen soups, somen noodles and glass noodles, tempura flour, sesame oil and other Korean staples.
The company was founded in 1969 by Ham Tae-ho, first under the name Poonglim Food Industry, with instant curry as its first product. The Korean name 오뚜기 refers to a roly-poly doll that always gets back on its feet – hence the smiling boy in the logo. In 2024 the company began using the spelling OTOKI in English, but older packaging still carries the original Ottogi.
What we stock
Instant ramen soups make up most of the range – Jin Ramen in spicy and mild versions, cheese ramen, seafood Jjambbong, Jjajang with black bean sauce and the very spicy Yeul Ramen. Alongside them we sell wheat somen noodles, sweet potato glass noodles, tempura flour for frying, sesame oil, brown rice vinegar and microwave instant rice.
Unflavoured ramen noodles (Sari) are ideal for your own broth or for the Korean army stew budae-jjigae, glass noodles for stir-fried japchae, and tempura flour for vegetables and prawns in a light, crispy batter.
