Perníček is a syrup that tastes like Christmas gingerbread. It is based on a spiced extract of gingerbread spices, which include cinnamon, ginger, cloves, star anise, cardamom and orange peel. According to the supplier, it contains no artificial flavourings.
The syrup is best suited for cold evenings. The recommended dilution is 1:8, that is, one part syrup to eight parts liquid. You can use more or less depending on your taste.
How to use it
- pour hot water over it for a quick spiced drink
- add it to black tea
- make a gingerbread latte with it
- flavor mulled wine or punch with it
- drizzle it over pancakes or ice cream
A 0.5 l bottle also makes a nice small gift.
